I'm addicted to my ipod! Here are a few newly added songs that make my world happy and make up the soundtrack to my life...
Should've Said No by Taylor Swift
I grew up listening to country music but I've strayed from my country roots and I rarely listen to it anymore except some of the old stuff that I loved before like The Judds, Dan Seals & good old Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks (I love them), but most of my family still listens to country and they keep up on the new stuff. The other day my younger (but bigger than me) brother, Jeb came over and played this Taylor Swift song for me. Actually he showed me a video of her performing it, he was impressed by the part where two guys ripped her clothes off revealing a short black dress, and the end where rain poured down onto the stage soaking her as she sang (he said something about her looking even hotter wet) Well I wasn't paying attention to whether or not she was hot, I was thinking what kind of parent lets their 17 year old daughter get up on stage and get her clothes ripped off and then drench her so she looks even hotter...being a mom just takes the fun out of everything doesn't it! I actually did enjoy the video. I love the song, I bought it immediately! (Ryan was absolutely appalled, there are a few things that he can't grasp about me and country music is one of those things)
Jessica's Suicide by Bad Astronaut
Bad Astronaut has done it again, totally impressed me, even though they fall into the punk genre. This song is moving and beautiful.
Good Enough by Lifehouse
I watched The Wild with my kids and loved this song from the soundtrack.
Moon River by Audrey Hepburn
I've had this one forever and I have many versions of this song. If you familiarize yourself with the tune, you'll hear it over and over in many different movies. It's originally from Breakfast at Tiffanys. I like the original version best with Audrey singing it, actually that's not true, I like my little girl's version best. I've sung this song to her since she was a baby and she knows it by heart and I almost cry whenever she sings it now, she has a very pretty little voice and it's such a beautiful lullaby.
Jocie I have more music for you!!! Let me know when you want to do belly pictures! (that is if you still want to!) We might have to do them really soon! (hopefully she comes soon)ha ha
