I love my ipod, absolutely love it! The other day I decided to go shopping and leave the kids home with Dad. I decided to bring my ipod along. I use it snowboarding, why not try it out at the grocery store. I find grocery shopping to be very unpleasant, even without the kids. Just thinking about having my favorite tunes while I shop makes me smile. I've always believed that my life would be much more fun with a sound track and a narrator (I love Stranger Than Fiction). So slipped it in my pocket and ran out the door. As I was getting in the car, I had that "I'm forgetting something" feeling, but I get that whenever I go anywhere without the kids so I shrugged it off. I got to the store and turned up the music and enjoyed shopping for food that may or may not make me fatter and enjoyed myself! Aside from the stares I got when I accidentally sang along, it was fabulous! Until I got in line at the check out. I swear the universe or some all powerful force has it out for me, or has a really twisted sense of humor and frequently enjoys a good laugh at my expense, because I left my purse at home, ruining a perfectly lovely trip to the grocery store, maybe the best one ever (I realize that I shouldn't get this worked up over groceries but it does stress me out, food and money stresses me out). OK moving on....since we're talking about music, I'm going to share my top five favorites from my playlist:
1. Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez (I also have it by The Knife, it's good both ways)
2. Whole Wide World by Wreckless Eric (from Stranger Than Fiction, I love, love, love this one)
3. Click, Click, Click, Click by Bishop Allen (Any photography will fall instantly in love with this one)
4. Falling In Love At The Coffee Shop By Landon Pigg (I found this one from a jewelry commercial at Christmas time)
5. Rain by Priscilla Ahn (from an episode of Grey's Anatomy)
OK one more Running Out by Mates of State I listen to this one over and over and over, oh yeah and just one more, Hey There Diliah by Plain White T's
The pictures of the day are of my sweet little niece,
I usually photoshop the birth mark from above her eye for my website because I it looks sort of like a bruise in pictures and I don't want people to think I can't photoshop, but it's a part of her beautiful self so I'm leaving it be.
In the picture on the left she was singing a little song and dance number she made up about loving her Mommy, it was so cute, I wish I had video instead a still shot.
This is is my favorite image from our shoot, she's so pensive & thoughtful.
Oh Jocelin, this is my worse nightmare. I asked a friend who works at Walmart and she said that people forget their wallet at least a couple times a day. So your not alone but how horrible. You'll have to remember both things next time. Good idea with the ipod, I should try it. I hate grocery shopping too.
