I spent the afternoon trying to photograph my parents dogs. I say "trying" because they are really wild and difficult subjects! Their names are Gracie & Ginger and they are sisters. They originally had different owners (not my parents). My Dad has always liked Weimaraners, his Dad had Weims. They are pretty and fun and really, really energetic and insanely smart. My sister was Gracie's 1st owner but Jamie quickly learned that training a puppy was worse than raising kids. Gracie is kind of a miracle dog. Jamie sold Gracie to a family in CA who loved Weimaraners. Two weeks later they found out that Gracie was dying from a bone infection and told Jamie that they were putting her down so for a week or two we thought Gracie had died. But this fabulous family in CA got some foundation to foot the bill for an extensive surgery. And after all that the family decided to give Gracie back because she wasn't getting along with their other dogs. So Gracie came back and Jamie gave her to my Dad who has always wanted a Weimaraner and he was in need of a dog because his dog passed away just before Gracie came back. Then my Dad's friend (who got puppy from Gracie's litter) was having health problems and needed to give his dog to a good home, my Dad obliged and that's how Gracie and Ginger ended up back together and in my parents care. My Dad LOVES his dogs and I was feeling ambitious so here they are...
I couldn't get them to hold still so I had my Dad pull apart the fence so I could get them in a shot together.
color or sepia?
But that didn't last long, pretty soon they were trying to squeeze through the fence instead of just looking through it.
